• Obtained a favorable seven-figure settlement on behalf of a shopping center owner in a dispute arising from the defendant’s breach of its lease obligation to the client.
• Favorably settled case on behalf of a commercial warehouse owner in litigation against roofing membrane manufacturer in U.S. District Court. Warehouse owner claimed breach of warranty and violations of Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act for manufacturer’s use of new product that resulted in nearly $1 million in repair and replacement costs. Case settled following expert witness depositions, with large cash payment by manufacturer and two insurers. 
• Defended large residential homebuilder in warranty, consumer fraud, and related claims for defective sunrooms in condominium development. Successfully tendered defense to general liability carrier, alleging “collateral property damage” and “advertising injury” coverage. Also cross-claimed against window manufacturer and defeated manufacturer’s summary judgment motion. Claims were settled with significant contributions from window manufacturer and builder’s general liability carrier. 
• Obtained multi-million dollar settlements for a state public employee retirement system in claims brought against its real estate investment advisors and lawyers for having invested state pension funds in imprudent and improper real estate investments. Obtained multi-million dollar settlements for the client.
