Non-Profit Organizations
Wildman Harrold is experienced in counseling and representing trade associations, professional societies, charitable organizations, and other non-profit organizations. We have represented state, regional, and national associations in employment and labor, tax, intellectual property, governance, litigation, real estate counseling, and charitable planning.
- Wildman Harrold represents a national not-for-profit organization which partners with hundreds of independent 501(c)(3) organizations across the country that provide facilities and services to people with disabilities. We review all contracts and agreements; corporate governance and non-profit counseling; real estate matters; establishing international affiliates; litigation; review contracts in connection with conferences and events; and advise on training programs, bookkeeping, fundraising, and other operational issues relating to individual affiliates.
- Wildman Harrold serves as General Counsel to a not-for-profit corporation of more than 75 government contractors formed for the purpose of educating the contractor community regarding their affirmative action and equal employment obligations.
- Wildman Harrold has served as General Counsel for over 30 years to one of the nation’s foremost youth programs’ Chicago Area Council.
- Wildman Harrold represents a national trade association comprised of leading American and international members. Our charge from the client has been to develop and lead industry-wide defensive strategies and legal resources to defend lawsuits brought against its members. We have recently achieved complete dismissals of class actions alleging consumer fraud and other torts in Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.
- Wildman Harrold represented a local university in connection with an intragovernmental agreement with the Village of Lisle for the construction of a sports complex, including bond financing.
