Firm Honored at May School Awards Day

Holthaus and Askew pose with the recipients of the Top Student awards.

On June 16, 2010 Wildman Harrold's Director of Pro Bono and Community Service David Askew and COO John Holthaus were guests at Horatio May Academy’s End of Year Honors Assembly. Students were honored in citizenship, attendance, academic, ISAT score, and science fair categories. Wal-Mart and Wildman Harrold donated bicycles for the top students in each of the K-5th grade classrooms.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, May School presented an award to Wildman Harrold for being a longstanding sponsor and friend to the school. John Holthaus accepted the award on behalf of the firm and gave remarks to the assembled students.

Since 2007, May Community Academy, located on Chicago's West Side, has been the firm's adopted Chicago Public School. Wildman Harrold has partnered with the school in many ways, including an annual holiday toy drive, a junior high boys' mentoring program, and a staff service day at the school. The firm also has donated used computers for the school computer lab and materials for the school library and hosted the older students for Law Day activities at the firm.
