Sally Olson Elected to Product Liability Advisory Counsel Board
Wildman Harrold is pleased to announce that partner Sarah “Sally” L. Olson has been elected to the board of the Product Liability Advisory Counsel (PLAC). Her three-year term begins January 1, 2010.
The PLAC seeks to contribute to the improvement and reform of law in the United States and elsewhere, with emphasis on the law governing the liability of manufacturers of products. It has more than 100 corporate members representing a broad cross-section of American and international product manufacturers.
Olson is an accomplished product liability and mass tort litigator, representing manufacturing companies and industries facing litigation, legislative change or regulatory action in relation to the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of their products. Because this “bet-the-company,” “bet-the-industry” litigation is often multi-party and multi-jurisdictional, Olson has developed a particular skill in facilitating and guiding the work of joint defense groups and industry legal teams. She is the firm’s Professional Development and Diversity Director, and holds a J.D. (high honors) from Chicago Kent College of Law and a B.A. (honors) from the University of California at Berkeley.
