Representative client engagements include:
- We represent a mass media company with operations in virtually every field of media and entertainment, including broadcast television, television production and syndication, cable television, and publishing. We regularly work on their digital, online and wireless campaigns, including: review of television, web site and related ad copy; revising MMS message flows; ensuring compliance with the TCPA, CAN-SPAM Act, COPPA and other laws; negotiating contracts with third party vendors; drafting various end user license agreements; and drafting and revising sweepstakes rules.
- We counsel a leading global entertainment content company with multiplatform properties on all aspects of marketing, including: drafting and negotiating contracts; auditing web sites and drafting web site documents; creating internal guidelines; handling sweepstakes, contests, and promotions, including charitable promotions; addressing privacy, security and related compliance issues related to consumers, b2b web sites, international compliance and internal policies.
- We assist the business affairs group of a new media corporation in structuring large scale advertising, promotion and marketing tactics (including all types of sweepstakes and contests) with their advertisers and promotional partners. Our work with this client includes drafting and negotiating the agreements for those promotions and advising on the legal issues associated with the planned promotions, including compliance with lottery, spam and privacy laws and addressing the multitude of issues that arise when dealing with user generated content submissions.
