Justine Young Gottshall

Justine Young Gottshall is a partner in the Intellectual Property Department of Wildman Harrold. She began her career when the Internet and all of its related privacy challenges emerged in the mid-90s. She has been at the forefront of addressing privacy and marketing issues (online and offline) and the legal issues created by new technologies as they develop. Justine applies her experience defending companies before the FTC and Attorneys General, and in class action lawsuits, to help companies create corporate privacy and information security compliance programs. She regularly conducts company-wide privacy and security audits, develops pragmatic policies and procedures to address the specific business risks and needs of each client, and has extensive experience advising companies in all matters related to marketing and promotions. Justine works closely with clients in the entertainment media, technology, advertising and promotion, and consumer product industries.  In 2007, Justine was named to Chicago Lawyer and Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s prestigious “40 Under Forty” list—a compilation of Illinois’ finest young attorneys. Justine was also recently named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, a distinction given to only the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in the state.
