Representative Experience:
- Litigated seven-day solo jury trial to verdict, with responsibilities for all evidence depositions, pre-trial motions and oral argument, voir dire and jury selection, opening, direct and cross examination, motions for directed verdict, settlement negotiations, closing and post-trial motions in case involving breach of contract, consumer fraud and violations of the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act
- Experienced in a wide variety of litigation matters including the fields of alcohol beverage litigation, commercial contractual disputes, legal malpractice issues, medical device litigation, and toxic tort matters
- Represented clients in various personal injury matters including second chairing a two-week jury trial involving a motor vehicle accident with responsibility for direct examinations, motions in limine, Frye motions, discovery and evidence depositions, and extensive motion and pleading practice
- Worked extensively on the trial and appeal of the precedential Boim terrorism recovery case
- Served as pro bono counsel, successfully securing asylum status for a persecuted individual from Zimbabwe after a bench hearing, and represented clients in securing civil protection orders in domestic violence cases
