Wildman Harrold’s real estate group includes a commercial leasing practice consisting of attorneys that handle all aspects of retail, office and industrial leasing across the country, from shopping centers in California to office leases on Michigan Avenue. In addition to negotiating leases, our attorneys also service the day to day work of its leasing clients, including landlord and tenant dispute resolution and the drafting and negotiation of listing, brokerage, management and related financing agreements, restriction and easement documents, letters of intent, and extension, assignment, sublease, settlement and termination agreements. Our attorneys in the retail leasing practice have negotiated leases with many of the nation's leading retailers from kiosks to anchor tenants and routinely represent developers in all types of retail projects ranging from regional malls and lifestyle and power centers to neighborhood and community centers, and mixed use projects. Wildman Harrold has extensive experience in the development of new construction properties and understands the elements necessary to take a project from inception to grand opening.
Representative transactions include:
- Negotiated developers in new construction projects in ground and build-to-suit leases for nationally recognized retail department stores.
- Represented nationally recognized premier management company in negotiating leases in multiple shopping centers.
- Drafted and negotiated all office leases for a downtown Chicago high-rise.
- Counseled developers in the implementation of certain restriction and easement agreements necessary for the efficient operation of major power centers in the Midwest.
- Represented manufacturing clients in leasing transactions across the country, including build-to-suit and sublease arrangements.
